FAQ
Where are you located?
My comfortable office is in a quiet building at:
4905 Del Ray Avenue Suite 304 Bethesda, MD 20814
It is conveniently located in downtown Bethesda with easy access to the metro and bus service. There are also a variety of restaurants and cafes nearby if you want to grab a bite before or after your sessions!
Are you conducting in-person or virtual sessions?
Will parking be a nightmare?
NO! I am happy to report that unlike a lot of other destinations in Bethesda, there is ample parking right outside my office building that is reasonably priced!
There is a ton of metered street parking right on Del Ray Avenue and on the surrounding streets.
There is also a large public parking lot that is a stone’s throw from my office building, with entrances on both Del Ray and Auburn Avenues.
What ages do you work with?
I work with adults ages 18 and up.
When I am working with a family, younger children may be involved in the process. From time to time, I also offer groups for adolescent girls. Stay tuned for that!
What are your hours?
What are your fees?
My standard rate with individuals is $200 for a 50-minute session.
My standard rate with couples is $230 for a 60-minute session.
For clients who prefer longer sessions, I offer a 90-minute option at a rate of $340.
I hear you are a relationship specialist. Do you only work with couples?
Not at all! I work with single people, those in romantic relationships or partnerships, married couples, and families.
Even if you are not “coupled up,” that doesn’t mean that you don’t have a lot of relationships in your life that you could use some help with – friends, parents, siblings, colleagues, and bosses.
What can I expect from our initial session together?
Upon your arrival, you can relax in my calm, comfortable waiting room, as you are soothed by the sounds of ocean waves emanating from the sound machine (hopefully, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported temporarily to the beach).
I will greet you in the waiting room at the time of your appointment and then usher you into my serene office where we will begin our conversation about our work together.
I will ask you questions in a calm, thoughtful way to better understand who you are and the issues you are facing, the areas you’d like to work on, and the hopes you have for this process.
I will reflect what I am hearing with compassion and sensitivity, so that you will start feeling less alone with your pain and struggles. I will also provide space for you to ask me any questions that are on your mind.
My goal for this session is to get to know you, to assess our fit, and to provide you with some hope and relief that can keep you going until our next session together!
Do you accept insurance?
What is your cancellation policy?
How do I make an appointment with you?
During this phone consultation, I’ll ask questions to learn more about your situation to determine if we are a good fit to work together.
You also can learn more about how I work and ask any questions you may have for me. Then, if the fit seems right, we will find a good time to meet for our initial session at my office. That’s it!
